My favorite thing about Judaism is definitely the food and holidays! The food is amazing and I love having excuses to be able to get together with family! To me being a bar mitzvah means being older and more responsible. This title makes me able to do harder tasks or activities in the community. I enjoy learning about Judaism and events that happened in the Torah and in Jewish history.

For my mitzvah project I went to an old age home and helped them with their technological challenges. They asked a ton of questions and some called me “genius” as I walked out. One lady came every time I was there. She had a couple new questions every time and told everyone how helpful I was. I chose to do this because I thought it would be a fun service project and I thought I could be helpful using my tech-knowledge to help people who are struggling with modern gadgets. Helping people is one of the best feelings in the world. I plan to keep volunteering many times a year, and to also visit Israel many more times in my lifetime.
