My favorite thing about being Jewish is celebrating all the holidays with my family. Becoming a Bar Mitzvah means that I become more responsible for my actions in the Jewish community and in everyday life. In preparing to become a bar mitzvah, I learned that you need to work hard to get something done.

For my mitzvah project, I volunteered for Katie’s Kids, The Butterfly Project, and Run for The Ridge. I also helped my peers with a running class, band 5th grade signups and Mitzvah Day. I chose these things because I enjoyed helping out for the causes and I have a true passion for cross country and running. I learned that it is good to help the community. As a Jewish adult, I will plan on continuing to celebrate the holidays with my family.
