“All those of age shall appear before Adonai your God in the place of God’s choosing three times a year: on the Festival of Passover, on the Festival of Shavuot, and on the Festival of Sukkot; and no one shall appear before Adonai empty-handed. All persons shall give as they are able, according to the blessing that Adonai your God has given you.” [Deuteronomy 16:16–17]
Introduced in 2012 to replace the existing dues program, the Sacred Gifts campaign honors the heartfelt contribution of every member of our congregational family in creating the kind of community that is Temple Beth El. We base this Sacred Gifts Covenant on the yearly cycle of the festivals – Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot. Sacred Gifts asks that we give to sustain the TBE community and in return our Temple sustains us.
The covenantal relationship between the synagogue and the individuals/families of our congregational family is first and foremost at Temple Beth El. Our desire is that we become your second home and that you understand that we are here for you in times of both celebration and sorrow. Being part of this congregation is a blessing and providing for the future of our community as you have been blessed and from your heart truly is a sacred gift.
