S’lichot

hebrewElul, the month that precedes the Jewish New Year, is considered a “wakeup call” reminding us of the High Holy Days and urging us to begin our preparations. At Temple Beth El, the month is filled with many opportunities to study and reflect in our “Fuel for Elul” series.  During this time, we also observe S’lichot (translated as “forgiveness”) by participating in a meaningful study program with the Shalom Park Jewish Community on a Saturday evening before Rosh Hashanah.

This year (5777 or 2016), we will join Temple Israel for a study session, dessert reception, and S’lichot Community Service on September 24 at 8:30pm at Temple Israel.

Please visit the URJ S’lichot Page for more information about S’lichot.
