Define your Jewish future.  Hebrew High is a supplementary Jewish program for students in grades 8-12, sponsored by Temple Beth El and Temple Israel, and open to ALL Jewish teens.

The transformative learning experiences at Hebrew High of Charlotte NC are designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. Hebrew High reflects the vibrant energy of our Jewish teens by giving them a voice to explore their Judaism in a safe environment with passionate and skilled teachers who want to help our students make an impact on the world.

The Foundation of Shalom Park is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that owns and manages the properties and facilities for most of the organizations that are located on the central campus of Shalom Park, which includes: Temple Israel, Temple Beth El, the Levine Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte, Jewish Family Services, Temple Israel Religious School, Temple Beth El Religious School, Consolidated High School of Jewish Studies, Charlotte Jewish Preschool, Charlotte Jewish Day School, Levine-Sklut Judaic Library & Resource Center, and the Charlotte Jewish News.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte raises and distributes funds to support and to enrich the lives of Jews locally, nationally, in Israel and worldwide. The Federation’s mission ensures that Jewish values, goals, traditions, and connections are preserved for current and future

Located on a 54-acre campus in the heart of South Charlotte, the Levine Jewish Community Center is a family-oriented, vibrant facility where you feel a sense of community and belonging. From our state-of-the-art fitness center to our expansive athletic fields and courts, from our sports programs to our arts activities – the Levine JCC can offer you a place to maintain a healthy lifestyle, build relationships and engage in activities for all ages.

Jewish Family Services is the heart of our community, providing comprehensive integrated social services that help members of our community in the most effective compassionate way possible, providing people of all ages, religions and socio-economic backgrounds with the encouragement and tools they need to become productive and self-reliant

The Charlotte Jewish News is a monthly (except July) publication for the Jewish community in Charlotte, NC. The CJN reports on news and upcoming events of the local Jewish agencies, accomplishments of the members of the local Jewish community, opinions/editorials from local personalities, and stories about Jewish holidays, rituals, and events in Charlotte, the U.S. and Israel.

The CJN is affiliated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and operates as a non-profit organization under the Federations 501(c)3. The CJN is a community newspaper, overseen by a board of Directors representing members of the Jewish community of Charlotte.

PJ Library is a Jewish family engagement program implemented on a local level throughout North America. We mail free, high-quality Jewish children’s literature and music to families across the continent on a monthly basis. PJ Library is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations. Today, families in hundreds of communities across the United States and Canada are able to explore the timeless core values of Judaism through books and music. All families raising Jewish children from age six months of age through five, six, seven or eight years (depending on the community) are welcome to sign up.

The mission of the Charlotte Jewish Preschool is to provide quality preschool and daycare programs for children ages one to five within an enriched Jewish environment. The Charlotte Jewish Preschool (CJP) is dedicated to providing young children with a secure and loving atmosphere so that they can develop a positive self-image and grow intellectually and socially. In addition, CJP is dedicated to instilling within each student a joyful attitude toward Judaism. Our educational approach is developmental, offering hands-on activities and age-appropriate materials that encourage creativity and self-expression.

 The Levine Sklut Judaic Library and Resource Center is the Charlotte region’s center for Jewish knowledge. The Children’s Library is a very special place for our community’s children. The library also hosts the Melton Mini School, our community teacher resource center, and the Charlotte Jewish Archives.

The Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community (FCJC) is an affiliate of Foundation For The Carolinas. It is the nonprofit organization in the greater Charlotte region dedicated to raising and managing long-term charitable resources to sustain the quality of Jewish religion, life and culture by linking our donors’ philanthropic intent with the needs of the community.

Creating your own Jewish legacy ensures that you will be remembered and that your work and your values will continue when you are no longer here. It also serves as an example to your loved ones that you believe it’s important to support the Jewish community. The act of creating a legacy empowers you to complete the work of your heart and to enjoy the peace that it brings. By leaving a legacy, you will ensure that the traditions and institutions that mean so much to you in your lifetime will exist for future generations.

Shalom Green is a group of Jewish community volunteers dedicated to promoting an understanding of Jewish environmental values. Shalom Green is united in its commitment to sustainability and is energized to take meaningful action to preserve and protect Creation. The mission of Shalom Green is to educate and mobilize members of the Charlotte Jewish community on environmental issues and Jewish values related to sustainable living and protecting the planet. Our goals are to REDUCE the carbon footprint of Shalom Park facilities, MAINTAIN the Shalom Park Community Garden, and EDUCATE the community about environmental issues.

The Hebrew Cemetery is truly part of history- both our history and that of Charlotte. A walking tour of the original grounds illuminates over 130 years of the Jewish community in North Carolina. Jews from every corner of the state are buried here. The Hebrew Cemetery is a corner of the city that is unusual in its beauty and serenity. The new brick entryway opens onto an enlarged memorial park containing the original site and the expanded grounds with spaces for upright headstones, in ground markers and a section designated for interfaith marriages.

Join us for our Annual Community Memorial Service on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy, and Jewish continuity.
