My favorite part of being Jewish is the food, specifically Matzah Ball soup and hard boiled eggs at Passover.  I also have enjoyed getting to meet so many new people at Hebrew School.  Becoming a Bar Mitzvah to me means becoming an adult at Temple, which means I will get to go to Hebrew High and take more interesting and fun classes.

My Mitzvah project was a service project I did with the boy scouts in Waxhaw. We helped people who needed to get their houses fixed but they don’t have the money to do it or they have other challenges that prevent them from doing it themselves. I got to go under someone’s house and help put new support beams under the house in the crawlspace. The woman I helped was very nice and appreciative of our help and talked to me about her life.

After the Bar Mitzvah I am looking forward to Hebrew High and making more Jewish friends.
