My favorite thing about being jewish is learning there is so much to learn about, as a Jew from reading the Torah stories to learning about each and every holiday. There are so many interesting stories for each holiday and some of my best memories are from our Hanukkah parties and finding the afikomen on Passover.

For me, becoming a Bat Mitzvah truly means being part of my Jewish community. I have led led other jews in prayer and learned a lot about myself in these past few months preparing for this day during a pandemic.

My mitzvah project was making 30 full sized hygiene packs for homeless kids, I worked with the organization Bright Blessings.

When I first started thinking about what I wanted to do I knew I really wanted to do something that helped kids of all ages, in a social distanced way of course. So when I began looking online I came upon Bright Blessings which immediately caught my eye because I wanted to help people my age, especially people who are homeless during the coronavirus.

I’m the daughter of Angie Hardister Zimmern and William Huntley Zimmern. I have a younger brother named Huntley Samuel Zimmern. Send notes of mazel tov.
