My favorite thing about being Jewish is all of the traditions. Becoming a bat mitzvah means that I will have greater responsibility in my life and that I will be held accountable for my actions in a larger way than before. During Sheva, I questioned a lot of things and learned more about where I stand on different issues. My mitzvah project was focused on helping people in many different ways. To do this, I did three things. I made bags full of essentials and we kept them in our car so we could hand them out to homeless people when we saw them. The second thing I did was make cards for healthcare workers to thank them for all of the hard work they did during the pandemic. Finally, I made challah for members of our community to enjoy on Shabbat. As a Jewish adult, I will continue to question things that I think should be different or better and try to make the world a better place.
