My favorite thing about being Jewish is the food on holidays, especially hamantaschen. We always come together for food and to celebrate.

To become a Bat Mitzvah means that I must continue to celebrate Jewish customs even though I am ending my learning for my Bat Mitzvah. Practicing for my Bat Mitzvah made me learn that you cannot learn something difficult alone.

For my mitzvah project, I made cards for kids in the hospital. I also plan on doing other types of volunteering, once we are able to go be with other people again. I chose making cards for my mitzvah project because the pandemic has forced hospitals to not have any visitors so if they have a card it can make their days a little brighter.

As a Jewish adult, I will go to services on the High Holy Days and continue to celebrate Chanukah.
