My favorite part of being Jewish is celebrating the holidays. It’s not bad that we get to miss school to celebrate the holidays, too! I love when we eat jelly donuts on Hanukkah and go to Florida for Passover. Becoming a Bar Mitzvah means becoming an adult in the eyes of Judaism, which also includes more responsibility. I also enjoy hanging out with other Jewish kids in Sheva. Sheva is really fun because we get to eat dinner, hang out and learn. My Mitzvah project was managing the Cookie’s Crew team for the Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure for breast cancer. I plan to keep learning about Judaism by going to Sheva, Hebrew High, and living a Jewish life.
