My favorite thing about being Jewish is celebrating the holidays with my family and being able to focus on the history of our ancestors. Becoming a bat mitzvah means that I will have more responsibility and will have a bigger role in the Jewish community. While preparing for my bat mitzvah I have learned that I thought it might be difficult, I can take on big challenges and learn to balance them with school and sports. Once I become a Jewish adult I will have a better appreciation for the religion and the people that make the study of Judaism happen.
