Our Initiatives

Miriam’s Wellness

When a congregant is feeling under the weather, Miriam’s Wellness provides homemade soup—prepared by volunteers and delivered with care.

How It Works:
  • Homemade & Heartfelt: Volunteers cook fresh soup in the Temple kitchen.
  • Delivered with Love: If you live within 10 miles, a volunteer will deliver soup to you. Otherwise, you can pick it up at Temple.
  • Need Soup?: Simply request it, and we’ll get it to you.
Miriam’s Wellcome

At Temple Beth El, Shabbat is a time for connection. Miriam’s Wellcome ensures that every person who walks through our doors feels truly welcomed.

What It Looks Like:
  • Warm Greetings: Volunteers offer a heartfelt “Shabbat Shalom” at the entrance.
  • Community Connection: At the Oneg, greeters introduce new faces, answer questions, and help everyone feel like they belong.
  • Creating a Welcoming Space: Whether it’s someone’s first time or their 100th, we help them feel at home.
