Meet and Greet with Rabbi Beth Nichols

Dear TBE Community,

It is my privilege to have started my time as the new Director of Lifelong Jewish Learning at Temple Beth El at the beginning of July. I knew coming in that I was joining a stellar professional team, but my first days have also shown me the kindness and dedication of the entire community. It is hard to welcome someone to a new home and job in the midst of a pandemic, but I have felt your warmth and support despite the physical distance. Thank you!

The pandemic also prevents me from meeting you in groups hosted in your living rooms and on your decks, as we might have imagined. Nonetheless, we have work to do together to continue the important task of educating our children and ourselves, and it should not wait until we are back together in our building. Over the next several months, we will be setting up opportunities for different groups of adults and children to meet with me online. These “Meet and Greets” will be designed with two goals in mind:

  1. To begin our sacred relationship by getting to know one another.
  2. To share ideas about education at Temple Beth El. Please be on the lookout in future communications for details about how to join one of these conversations.

I look forward to the time when we will be able to be together in person. Until then, there are many opportunities for us to talk, study, and pray together online. You are also welcome to email me. Thank you again for allowing me to become part of this sacred community.

L’Shalom,
Rabbi Beth Nichols

There will be opportunities to meet and greet Rabbi Nichols online in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned for more information.
