Becoming Bar Mitzvah is a special moment in my life. It represents all the hard work paying off. Sheva also helped me prepare. I learned more about the history of Judaism and how it is relevant. Since I am becoming a Jewish adult, I have to help pass Judaism down to younger kids. What I want to do is pass down Jewish melodies by playing in the band and also by tutoring. Being Jewish means that I can be different from other people. We can go to the same school and get the same material, but with my experiences, I will learn and understand it differently.

My Mitzvah Project includes two things. In the first, I taught dance to young kids and people with Down syndrome. In the second part, I will go help out, and hopefully dance, at Oasis, the Senior Center at the JCC. I chose this is because I have a passion for dance that I would like to share. I also like to help people out. I get satisfaction in sharing my passion for dance, and the good feeling of being kind and helping people in need. In doing these projects I fulfilled the commandments, the mitzvot, of, helping the elderly, removing a stumbling block from before the blind, and teaching.
