Funds and Endowments
Funds
Designated funds support current programs, projects, and people. These funds are used as needs arise, allowing us to respond thoughtfully and effectively throughout the year.
Your gift could:
- Provided scholarships for Religious School
- Bring innovative programming to life—from social justice to adult education
- Support lifecycle moments, community care, or clergy initiatives
- Help cover urgent needs or priorities
Endowments
Endowments are long-term investments that generate annual income to support Temple Beth El in perpetuity. Only a portion of the earnings is used each year, ensuring that your contribution continues to sustain Temple Beth El for future generations.
You can give to an existing endowment or create a named endowment to:
- Honor a loved one
- Celebrate a family milestone
- Support a cause close to your heart
Additional Giving Opportunities
Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques
Honor the memory of a loved one with a permanent plaque in Recognition Hall. Plaques are lit on the anniversary of their yahrzeit and during Yizkor services.
Brotherhood Star of Life
Celebrate a birth, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, or other simcha by dedicating a Star of Life plaque as a lasting tribute to your most meaningful moments.
Sponsor an Oneg Shabbat
Sponsoring an Oneg Shabbat is a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, baby naming, or other simcha—or to honor the memory of a loved one. Your sponsorship helps create a warm, welcoming space for our congregation to gather, schmooze, and enjoy Shabbat together.
