Our Hearts Are With Israel

Statement from Temple Beth El’s Clergy and Board

As Shabbat closes, we reach out with a message of solidarity. Our hearts are with everyone affected by the recent alarming escalation in Israel, following the direct attacks by Iran which are unfolding as we write. These developments are deeply concerning, especially for our family and friends, who are currently in harm’s way. The possibility of this conflict widening is a source of significant anxiety for all of us. Please know that you are not alone; our clergy and community are here to support you during these uncertain times.

As the Israeli Defense Forces endeavor to defend all citizens of Israel and secure their safety, we, the clergy, board, and staff of Temple Beth El, vehemently condemn the attacks on Israel and stand in unwavering solidarity with the State of Israel. Our prayers are with everyone endangered by this conflict, regardless of their faith or background.

We are also grateful for the support of the United States and allies who are standing with Israel in these critical moments. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, in coordination with our local and national partners, and will keep our community informed of any new developments.

Together, we pray for peace and security in the region and for the well-being of all communities affected.
